r-Protein G columns are used for fast and efficient purification of mouse and human immunoglobulin G (IgG) from different samples.
- Binds to the Fc portion of IgG, leaving the antigen binding site free
- Protein G binds a greater variety of antibodies than protein A, e.g., human IgG3 subtype, which is not recognized by protein A
